Di sebabkan lokasi Bandar Yiwu yang berada di tengah-tengah negara China maka kerajaan China membina satu kompleks seluas 5 kilometer radius setinggi 4 tingkat untuk menjadi "one-stop-centre" bagi semua peniaga seluruh China. Maka seluruh peniaga dan pengeluar barangan dari semua pelusuk wilayah di China akan berada di Yiwu Trade City untuk urusan jual beli.
Pada asalnya, Yiwu Trade City adalah khusus untuk pemborong tempatan sahaja tetapi sejak 5 tahun yang lepas, Yiwu Trade City sudah di iktiraf kerajaan dan menukar nama kompleks tersebut dengan nama Yiwu International Trade City, dan kerajaan China terus membina sambungan kompleks ini dan sehingga kini masih ada lagi kerja-kerja pemenambahan blok-blok perniagaan yang baru.
Yiwu International Trade city adalah sebuah bangunan seluas 5 kilometer radius setinggi 4 tingkat. Buat masa ini Yiwu International Trade City mampu untuk menampung sejumlah 94,000 pekedai.
